About · Better Fuels, Better Food™
Food needs energy. Its waste can supply it.
We started from one observation: the plants that feed the region burn imported fuel while their own residue piles up outside. Closing that loop is the whole company.
01 · Our story
Eighteen years, two countries, one idea.
From a desert olive valley to Dominican feed mills, the same problem in different residues: a plant that buys fuel while its own harvest leaves energy on the ground.
The idea
On Wall Street, during the financial crisis, Eduardo Lora sets out to build a business around two needs that survive any cycle: food and energy.
First plant
San Juan, Argentina: olive pruning and olive press residue, a waste problem in a desert valley, turned into electricity by controlled gasification.
Home base
LatAm BioEnergy Dominicana is incorporated in Santo Domingo, where engineering and operations are based today.
Reference plant
With UNIDO and GEF, the first AI-integrated downdraft gasification plant in the region goes into operation. See the plant →
Recognition
UNDP and CONEP, OLADE, the National Quality Award, The Earthshot Prize and Energy Tech Review recognize the work. Details ↓
Engineering and operations in Santo Domingo, a commercial office in New York, and the next plants in design for clients in the Dominican Republic, Central America and the United States.

Your next fuel is already in your yard.
Send us one fuel bill and a line about your residue. An engineer will tell you whether gasification pays at your plant, what it would take to confirm it, and what the biochar could be worth. The first review is free.
Better fuels, for better food.
